Analog collage, writings and media inspired by dreams, memories and past lives. Where inheritors remember and our creators are still with us.
In celebration of the Solar Eclipse over Western New York in 2024, Parrish's cosmic series Views From and Of was invited to be on view at the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Museum and Heritage Center in Niagara Falls, N. Y..
The collection, using vintage photography from the region, mixed with cuttings from her vast collection of travel and lifestyle magazines, beckons viewers to ponder their place in the cosmos and the nature of our existence. Through a series of analog collages, Parrish explores the timeless question: Where are we in the galaxy, and what are we?
The project grew into a public art initiative with a mural of her piece Above The Falls reproduced as a large-scale mural on the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center in Niagara Falls (NACC), NY. The mural is located on the 13th Street Side of the building.
Thirty limited edition signed prints of Above The Falls are for sale with proceeds supporting the NACC. Each 8x10 print is numbered and signed by Parrish Gibbons. Each purchase includes shipping worldwide.
Funding is made possible through Arts Services Inc.’s Creative Impact Fund thanks to a New York State Senate Initiative supported by the NYS Legislature and the Office of the Governor and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts. Printing and installation support by ZoomBuffalo.
